[updated:LAST EDITED ON 06-Mar-02 AT 02:51 PM (EST)] Hang onto the antenae shaft while removing the nut that holds down the bezel. After the nut is off the assemble witll want to slide down into the hole. Theres a swiveling retainer under the hole attatched to the shaft. If you jiggle it up and down a couple of time it will probably siwng to the removable position. If not poke it with a screw driver till it lines up. Then you can pull the whole thing out and unscrew the cable.
some previous owner of my truck put in this ugly antenna with a spring at the bottom, and it leans back and flops when it hits a branch and is just thoroughly annoying. not to mention it was 3 feet long until I jammed the top down into it. I'm scrapping that in favor of a cleaner looking power one.
