anybody else with this problem
I recently purchased a 99 f350 superduty 7.3 turbo and have noticed 1 cluncking noise in the front end when making a tight right and left turn. at first i thought maybe the hubs were locked but it doesnt matter if they are or are not. also at start up after a few seconds i hear a very muffled boom that doesnt effect how the truck is running. I talked with another guy with a 2000 and has the same turning noise. i have checked the hubs and the axle stubs and they appear to be good.

I believe I had heard of a few poeple experiencing this and finding tie rod ends and ball joints that were pretty wore out. Check these as the diesels seem to experience these problems frequently with the extra weight being the culprit. Remember its a 7 year old truck and theres bound to be a little fixing but overall these are good solid trucks.
