drip gaurds
OKay i have been looking a those darn rain drip gaurds above my doors on my 87 ranger xlt. I want to shave them offi was planning to use a midor saw to quickly get off the chunk of it then i was going to sand it down and use some bondo to work out the curves again. Anyone see any complications in this? Is this going to effect water getting into my car by the door seals. honestly i would like to know everything because right now they look like giant eyebrows

the problem with shaveing them off is ... well thats were the top of the cab is molded to the rest of the cab and if you shave theses off you will have about a 1/2" gap that will have to be filled in. i have seen this done on the tv show called TRUCKS. it was done on the copperhead cheby truck. it looks pretty complicated, unless you are a master fabricater then it wont be a problem.

yeah the coperhead thats what really got me interested into it. though i kept missing the part when they did it and having to wait untill it cycles back around. The thing that worries me is if i am going to have to weld some material into the gap or can i just bondo the gap and sand it smooth. peaking of which while i am at it. can anyone tell me how bondo holds up over the years. that would be great.
