Smile New Beds!

Hi! I am new to the forum. I have been reading alot of good things here. I just bought a 78 F150 2wd and it has its share of rust. The major rust spots are above the doors and THE BED!!! Although this truck has been takin very good care of (painted twice by previous owner)mother nature has gotten the better of the bed.
I have read a couple of post about where to get a new bed and twice i've seen the thread for some web site called rust free something or other. I checked it out BUT $1600.00 for a used bed that might not be the color you want yes they have a couple of different colors.
Check out this web site LMCtruck.com They have all of the Bed panels you'll need for a long bed and some short beds parts as well from 73-79 style side and step side beds.
You can get the Front bed panel $99.95,bedside assy-Lh 1gas hole 399.95 the same price for the two gas hole panel and the same price for the RH bedside assy,349.95 for the Bed floor assy,99.95 for the Tail pan complete 19.95 for the mount hardware,89.95 for tailgate w/o letters and 399.95 for the tailgate w/letters now thats 1460.00 for all with the tailgate w/o letters and 1770.00 for all that plus the tailgate w/letters . And the shipping over 1001.00 is free to the lower 48 states.

So you see you get all of that for less then the other guy,its all new not used and you can paint it any color you want in less time then having to get the used one reay for paint.

Just a heads up for you people looking for A new Bed . I've check all over the net and this is by far the best deal hands down for NEW bed panels.

Sponsor or not, I would bet that well over 75% of the users of this website have purchased from LMC before and probably more than once.

I cannot speak to the quality of body panels, however, I have been very satisfied with thwe lmc parts thast I have purchased

All the more reason to buy QUALITY parts and do it right the first time.
I hear you loud and clear, I'm on a strict budget, but I'm not forking over hard earned money for inferior parts. Do it right, do it once.

You can find these body parts at AutoKrafters.com, npdlink.com, and blueovaltruckparts.com/catalog. The above manufacturer and sponsor sell original equipment parts and other parts of better quality. It nice to see these sponsors on this Ford-Trucks forum.

I have purchased parts from LMC and ther parts do not fit very good and some modification or adjustments are required. The body gaps are different, might be wide on one side and narrow on the other side. I agree it would be nice to see lmctruck sponsor this forum.

It would also be nice to see a sponsor or sponsors which sells the original ford truck shop repair manual or other ford truck shop manuals..

As you pointed out that $1460 for all those bed stuff is a good deal but unless your put all that together yourself i'm not sure how a bed is put together welding i would think but i could be wrong you would need to take your truck and all those parts to a body shop and pay out at least $500 or 600 to have them put it together and place it on your truck.

I agree with Thomas, You spend 1460.00 and end up with a bunch of sheetmetal. Now you have to put it all together, get it all straight, undercoat it, and paint it. To me that all costs. As for me this spring I am going on vacation out west and will be pulling a small trailer behind my car. I am going to stop at all the u-pull parts I can find and see what happens. Last year I was in southern ca and I made a quick stop at a pick a part and saw a bed I wish I could have brought home and for 125.00

Yes you have to put them together but i'll bet more then 50% of the people in here either know how to weld or have a friend that dose.

Also has anyone here actually bought any body panels from LMC. All here is good thing from people that have. And I really don't mind if they were made over sea or not.
I plan on putting alot of money into this truck over the next couple of years and my truck is in my garage not out in the weather. And if you have a good painter these parts can last as long as I own this truck. I'm just looking out for my best interest and was trying to help some others out there looking for GOOD parts at low prices! Not trying to get under anybodys skin or to start any racial sleers about asins people!!!!
