Floor shifter
I just wanted to pass this along concerning my 04screw FX4 w/ 15k, a couple of weeks ago I got in my truck to go to lunch and went to put in drive and it went into reverse, luckily no one was behind me, put it back in park and and the linkage felt like mush go back into park, tried again same thing, I had to have my truck towed to the dealer, they had it for 2 days they said I broke the shifter cable and the linkage on the shifter so the replaced the cable and the entire shifter, they said its common but not on a truck with the mileage I have. I go easy on my truck and baby it so I know it not abused, so beware out there.
Also, I tell ya I kinda glad I went red carpet on this rig , this is the 2nd time my truck has been in the shop overnight and I have and have lived with the clunk, and I have the vibe between 52mph and 57mph my front brake squeal no matter what they do to fix it, front brake pads replaced then the rotors where replaced and they still squeal, the manual slider is starting to rattle again now that it is starting to get dry and cold around here, the truck is starting to where on me and right now and Im kinda thinking at the end of this deal Ford may have lost a customer.
