Dana 60 diff. plug
Went under my 79 F350 4x4 and got a scare. The rear differental fill plug is missing! There is a small (about two inches) of leaked gear oil. Now, the plug cover has something blocking the hole. What is it? I didn't drive it, so I don't know if it got locked up.

Is it expensive to rebuild a Dana 60 rear axle?

Dont know what could be blocking the hole unless its an insect nest.I have seen plugs robbed for another truck.Maybe removal of rear cover would shed some light.
