Rebuild Options
I am rebuilding the 300 in my truck and want to get more power power out of it. I am getting the block bored 60 over and am installing a set of flattop aluminum pistons with chrome-top piston rings and clevite rod and mains.
I want to get a lot of low end torque out of it because I am making it a 4 wheel dirve F-250. I am putting a NP435 manual behind it.
I am putting a Clevite cam in it that has a 491 intake lift and 514 exhaust lift and new lifters. I have read articles about roller rockers and found a set from Crane Cams that are stock ratio aluminum rockers for about $350 at Summit. I have seen people running BBC rockers and inline Chevy rockers. What are my choices on rockers.
I am putting a Offenhuaser intake and a 650 cfm Holley on the intake side with a K&N filter set up. I am getting a Headman header for it also.
What kind of power can I expect and any help would be useful.
