heated mirror replacent

since it is winter i wanted to fix my heated mirror i opened my door up and checked the wiring it seem the break is in the mirror so is there a way to replace the mirror without buying a hole new mirror unit?

Yes, the glass is replaceable. The glass is about $50 or so from the dealer.

Procedure:
1. Position the exterior mirror glass in the full up position.
2. Using a trim panel removal tool or equivalent notched tool, carefully disengage the two jack pin ***** from their sockets in the glass assembly back, leaving the jack pins and sealing boots attached to the mirror motor.
3. Grasp the outside bottom edge of the mirror glass and carefully remove it from the mirror housing.
4. Disconnect the heated glass electrical terminals.

Is this "trim tool" available at an auto parts store like Autozone or Murray's?

It should be. It's a flat "V" with an offset handle on it. If you ask the counter help should be able to point you in the right direction.
