Help Tranny problems
I have a 92 f150 custom4x4 with a mazda 5speed od tranny. Can't find one for less than 1700 bucks. I have also been told that something called a Z5 tranny is the same except stronger. 
I'm at a loss. 
I have worked on Fords all my life but this is my first Ford 4x4. I can not rebuild tranny 'cause casing is cracked. I could how ever change guts from mine to one that's blown with a good casing. Anyone out there have any Ideas? Thanks Tim

I would suggest calling around and seeing if any of the junkyards have the tranny you need. I am having to find either a 2wd SROD tranny or tailshaft/tailhousing for hte 4wd tranny i have for my 302 that's going in my 57. Good Luck.

I'm purchasing a M5OD, probably like yours except it isn't cracked, ready to run condition excpet a new gasket on the top cover. Just check around the junkyards there and post a want add on the classifieds here.
