shake rattle and roll
I have a shake when my f150 4x4 is accelerating, loading the drive train in 2w drive. it happens just before the automatic shifts in to last gear or over drive. I can stop the jumping when I let off the gas. There is also a mild whineing noise that can be silenced by also letting off the gas but returns during engine braking.

I have checked the tranny mount, it is ok. While doing that I found that the rear out-put shaft ( slip spline type ) has alot of movement the wrong way. Found a drawing in the Haynes Repair Manual of the tranfercase out-put; it shows a seal and a ball bearing in that area. It also speaks of a (rear extension housing) bushing replacement. I'm hoping that these could be the problem. Going to tear into it this weekend, any advise would be appreciated.
