Codes 305,306

My sons 2000 ranger running rough around 45 mph. codes 305 and 306 are showing up can anyone tell me what they are and what needs to be replaceed.Thank you in advance.

We need to know engine size and transmission if you can tell us please.

P0301 thru P0310 are misfire codes, cylinders 5 & 6 are the area to check.

Well, since you have the truck up close, you really need to diagnose to avoid tossing money at unneeded parts.

But, off the top of my head, it could be bad plugs, wires, or even rotting coil packs.(Both? Owww.)

Check your plugs and they'd likely give a clue to what's going on inside the combustion chambers.
