Yesterday, I was loading my motorcycle in the bed of my truck. Later that day, I noticed that the tailgate was bent. I can't believe that it would bend like that. Has anyone else experienced this with theirs?
chains no. but that was a sales pitch on these new models having the toughest tailgates? i drag alot of weight across my taigate i better watch what i'm doing for now on. i bet that makes you sick. love that yellow.....
I bought the ramp at http://www.motorcycleramps.com/truck_ramp.htm This was the first time using it. It seemed to work well. The last thing that I was expecting was that the gate would bend like that. I was testing the ramp and rode up the ramp with the Harley, my BMW sportbike and the ATV to check for clearance. I'm not sure which of the two bikes caused the damage. It wasn't until afterward that I noticed the bend. I'm mad about it but am also glad that it doesn't affect the outside of the gate. From now on, I'll have to put down plywood first. I don't recall putting my foot in this area though as I only rode over the tailgate for a moment. Maybe the tailgate is only made for groceries....
