cargo light questions

If I wanted to add a cargo light to a truck that doesn't have one, is there a power pigtail already there somewhere to connect to? I assume it would be behind the dome light? Where does the cargo light switch go? Are there any pictures of a factory installed one in anyone's gallery that I could work from? Thanks in advance, Brian

the pigtail is behind the light switch. follow the dome light wire down there. remove the dome light wire and plug in the dual wire harness. the switch goes on the piller 2 '' from the ceiling next to the drivers head.

He's right, I did this to mine a couple years ago. Get the cargo light, switch and wiring harness from a donor. The harness goes from by the headlight switch, up the A pillar, above the door to the cargo switch then to the light. I got a 73-76 cargo light, but I wish I'd gotten a '77-79 light (or even newer) they look a little better to me...
