chip problems

I just installed a TS performance 6 position chip and it works great until I turn my truck off. When I start it back up its just stock in any position. I can remove the parking brake pedal and wiggle the chip and it will work fine untill I turn it off agin. Is this a bum chip or do I need to clean the computer for the 4th time? Anybody got any tips on cleaning the cpu because nail polish remover and a scotchbrite pad just aint cuttin it.

Try putting a little scrape on the board contacts with a pocket knife. Use a little piece of duct tape over the chip to hold it in place once installed.

an exacto knife works great. its easier to do it on a bench. takes some more time to get the pcm out.

i wouldnt wiggle it with the key on/ running you may fry something. take the pcm out of the friewall. remove innerfender well cover and pull it out. take the cover off and scrape it with a little screwdriver. do both side very good. double check em all. there is no way finger nail polish remover is taking that stuff off.
