hi, i have a 79 ford f-150 and every time i shut my truck off it sprays power steering fluid out of my pump and i have a cap on it but it still squeezes out of it could someone help me out with this problem its getting really anoying!!!!!!!

I'm no hydraulic genius, but my guess is that the pressurized fluid is somehow working back into the pump after it stops turning. I have no clue if there is a check valve in these or not, but I'd say replace/rebuild the pump. I'm sure you checked the obvious like fluid level and/or made sure there's no air working its way into the system (should be audible or "feelable") ??

i had the same problem with my 78, i went through 2 plastic pumps, and then i pulled a metal canister type off of a 76 f150 that was sitting in a junk yard, and i never had a problem with it again. hope this helps. i think that napa sells them new for around $90.
