Ring and pinion weight
Hey guys, recenltly one auction (Ebay) on a new ring and pinion for my nine. I think the seller is inflating the shipping cost something fierce due to a low final sell price. From IL to CA for $35. Seemed kinda high, UPS quote for a 12 x 12 x 12in box weighing 25 pounds, five day ground is only $25. I thought 25 pounds was a large overestimate on weight. Any of you know the approximate weight of a ring and pinion for a nine?

Sounds kinda high to me. I wouldn't think a ring and pinion would weigh more than 15-20 lbs.(probably closer to 15) I had a stock iron intake shipped from WA to WI for $35. Package size was 24x14x8 and weighed 60 lbs. Maybe check into the USPS for a better price on shipping. I've heard that the USPS is quite a bit cheaper than either UPS or FedEx. Looks like the seller is trying to make the money back that he didn't get in the final auction price. Good luck.
