I guess if you mean straight pipe (no mufflers) or glass packs, yes. However, I recently dropped in a reman. 400, Edelbrock intake, Dynomax ceramic headers and custom dual exhaust using Thrush turbo mufflers and it is not much louder than stock. Of course it does sound beautiful but certainly not loud like I was kind've expecting. I think if I'd gone with the popular flowmasters it would be louder. Mine's loud enough for the enthusiasts to tell me "wow, that truck sounds mean". Less noise than alot of these goofballs with the Dodge Ram trucks (not bad trucks imho) who've installed aftermarket systems on their new trucks.
