Question

Removing speedometer driven gear NP435

I am trying to remove the speedometer gear from the side of my transmission. I can't a clamp bolt or snap ring. It does not seem to screw in. This is in a 1975 F600. Thanks

is yours the electric sender type? you may have to pull the top cover off to get to it.

No it is the cable type mechanical speedometer. I can tell that it is a separate part. I can't understand what is holding it in the tranny. Thanks

Solved

A closer look and I found that I needed to use an allen wrench inside where the cable goes.
