Hi all,
I hope someone here can offer some help. I have a 93 F250 4wd with a 460 automatic. I went out to start it yesterday and all I heard was a click. I have put a new starter in and replaced the battery and cleaned the cables at the battery and I still only get a click. I can feel the starter solenoid activate and can hear the solenoid on the wall activate, but nothing happens. What else could it be? Has anyone else ever had this happen?
A follow-up for those who may have this problem in the future. It turns out that the 2 positive cables in the lead (led not leed) connector at the battery were corroded inside the lead. I felt a slight bit of warmth on the connector so I bought a generic battery post connector to replace it. I cut the 2 cables and put them into the new connector and reconnected them to the battery. Problem solved.
