Overdrive, a final answer
There have been endless posts about getting an overdrive gear in our older trucks. So far I have been more confused than anything. I have a '76 F-150, 4x4 (married t-case), 390 bolted to a C6. What are my options for gaining an overdrive gear or at least a little more efficiency at highway speed?

Their is a co. called lentech that builds an AOD overdrive that will bolt behind an FE engine.Its pricy through about $3400.00 but that includes a heavey duty torque converter and many mods and improvements. The tranny is supose to be good for 700H.P.

There was a post awhile back about Clark 5-speeds. I would actually like to go manual and as I understood it, some came with an overdrive gear. Are there any around with an FE bellhousing and if so, where do I find one(since they came out of dump trucks and such).
