Hey all,
I'm new to the site. My family is a Ford family and I have recently inherited a 2wd 1979 F150 with a 300 inline 6 and a manual clark overdrive trans. I have big plans to make this truck a great street/show truck (even though i have been told i have the wrong truck to beef-up and customize...). I still plan on adding lots of chrome and hp under the hood (within reason). My first step is a much needed tune up and to get it running back to stock. It has been sitting in my grandpa's yard for the past 5 years or so and since then has become a brushpile. The truck has not been abused or broken just neglected ever since he bought his newer trucks. (it has sat long enough to become animal infested and almost everything outside of the cab that was rubber is now almost dust. Fortunately it still starts and runs fine so i have something to start with. Well i guess you will see me around the forums. Later.
