Has anybody tried it out yet? I went to the store tonight with a couple of my kids, so of course we ended up in the video game area. I'd been thinking about buying a game called Call of Duty II for our Xbox, but after trying it out on the 360 demo I'm waiting for the new xbox to come out first on Nov. 22.
Now I've got to convince my wife that it's her idea to spoil the kids this Christmas.
I think it was close to 400 for a version with extra stuff and 300 for a stripped down version. I could be wrong though, or they jacked the prices up for christmas.
I haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but all my friends say it has the best graphics they've ever seen, and that the controllers are better than before.
I'm hearing $400 for the version that has the HD adapter, wireless controller and the hard drive, plus some other stuff. $300 for the bone stock version. I figure that the hard drive and controller alone cost $100 so I'm going with the full version.
If it's sold out then I'll just have to wait. I'm not really a gamer, this is the first time I've ever been excited about getting a game system. We've got all of the major systems and I never play any of them.
The HD graphics are what makes it look so good. It'll really look awesome on our HD big screen.
that xbox 360 comaes in 2 differnt versions. the one version is about $399 and it has a hard drive, wireless controllers and a many more extras. the other version will be about $299 and it will be your basic system, no hard drive and wired controllers. i am getting the one with the hard drive. then next year playstation 3 comes out.
I have an original Playstation, I hate shelling out money for a new game system every couple of years, yet the newer ones that have DVD and gaming have peaked my interest. I will probably wait until the ones with HD DVD and HD gaming come out.

Then the 360 might be what you're waiting for. All games will be HD, but I don't know if HD DVD even exists yet.
We tried to put one on layaway tonight, along with COD2. We have to come back on the 22nd when they start selling them at 7am.
They look cool, awesome graphics. I don't know if I can bring myself to spend $500 CDN on one though. Especially since we've already got the PS2. Might just wait for the PS3, so at least all my old games should still be playable. Here's a link to the screenshots of Madden 06 I found.
The 360 should be pretty cool. I just can't justify spending 400 on a game system which has graphics that are not nearly as good as my pc. If I didn't have a PC, I most certainly would have one, but I just can't justify it.
I'm getting the $400 version. Plan to get one as soon as I can. Which kinda sux. My XBOX broke about 5 weeks ago and while I miss it and playing Halo 2 with my friends, I have found I actually get stuff done now. Oh well, I guess its back to putting everything off til tomorow again.
Preppy, it will as long as you buy the hard drive. No the 360 does not come with one, unless you get the deluxe package. The orignal XboX graphics rival most PCs, get the VGA cable and hook it to a monitor you'll see what I'm talking about. I can only hope that the 360 is even better.
