I just noticed this yesterday. When I put my LIGHTS on REGULAR BEAMS and FOG LIGHTS (inside a Bumper) everything works fine ... but when I switch to HIGH BEAMS ... my FOG LIGHTS SHOT OFF and RIGHT HEADLAMP too, but LEFT HI BEAM still works (its ON). It only happnds when i switch to HIGH BEAMS. Anyone knows what my cause this.
The fog lights are factory wired to ONLY work with low beams. They are supposed to go off when you switch to high beam. The problem with the right headlamp is likely that the high beam element is burned out. If so, you will need a new bulb.
Perhaps , then, they have been re-wired. The Owner's manual, p. 19 states " the fog lamps can only be turned on when the headlamp control is in the (symbol for headlights on) position and the high beams are not turned on". When they are on, the fog light "on" indicator light will illuminate.
Some people like to have them on high or low, so someone may have rewired.
Almost all fords do not run the fog lights while the high beams are on. If the fog light were rewired then check for a wireing flaw. Most likley its a bulb
2000 Expy as I am sure you and I both know the only MFG that uses a foglights made inside the headlight lens is general motors at least on there SUVs. I still agree with Dakota that it is most likely a bulb.
Well now thats all cleared up have you tryed changing the bulb. There also could be one side of the relay bad also. Thats highly unlikely though. Just try the bulb first.
