U-joints
. I just replaced that thing a few months ago, and now when I look at it, the little spindle things in there are ground to dust. What is going on here? Do you have to get Ford replacement u-joints or what? I know the ones I put in came from Japan (checkers), but sheeesh, I thought I could get a few years out of them. Did I install these wrong? I am also stuck on the double u-joint at the T-case end of the drive shaft. Any tricks on how to get those things out? Normally, I just pound on them but that does not seem to be working.thanks in advance,
ricker
Did you not grease it?
Was it installed backwards?
Try using a slightly smaller socket in a vise,to press them out.

if your using greasable joints. be sure to keep them greased. if you do any, any off roading it is best to grease them the day after to be sure they are lubed well.
if your CV head has a worn out centering head. that can cause the DS to wobble and wear out parts as well.
