its all good, using photoshop is a really good tool because you can alter your truck anyway without even picking up a tool. anything from just seeing what a paint color or what wheels look good to bagging and chopping, keeping you from making a mistake you cant take back.
on another note i was thinking of sectioning my front so i have the option to run an open front or enclose it all, just have to figure out how to fit the hood on.
For a rat rod I'd build a sheet metal lift off hood held on with dutz buttons or hood pins.
Build whatever front end you want with a straight across lip to set the hood onto. Roll the edges of the sheet hood to stiffen it.
Where are you located in Texas? Curious if you are any near Houston. If not Bobby (bobbytnm) and I are scheduled to meet up early next month to finish up a deal we did - well - a long time ago. We are tentatively scheduled to meet in San Angelo but I suspect Bobby would be agreeable to shifting the meeting spot a little if you are nearby. From the looks of it, Bobby and I should expect to be able to get a ride in that rod of yours.
I think it looks pretty hot chopped. I'd have to be honest here. I really like that radiator with the big "52" on it. Nice touch! LOL.... Is it me? That engine looks pretty new or cleaned up. Is that going into that truck?

sorry its been a while been tied up. just to answer a few things, im in Dallas, but i have no idea when i will have the truck done, still needs a whole lot. here is the short list:
finish chop
glass
run all lines
driveshaft
coil overs
dropped axle
rewire.
its really not that bad, but the funds arnt there (someone can buy my front though), and im focused on finishing up my nissan to use as a daily, which doesnt lack much besides fixing and exhaust leak and all the legal paper work, just painted it though this weekend at my first attempt of paint. It doesnt match, but let me know what you think.
i like the 52 on there too, but it will be redone once the radiator is straght up and down with a more old fashon looking font, the star will be replace with a priate looking skull and bones, except have a rat skull. and that motor is a hight modded 400 that should put around 500hp, built it from scratch when i was 16, still havnt started it.
I thought of a grill idea that should be inexpensive and have the "track roadster" feel!
How about using the front off an old Ford TRACTOR? Might even find one with the embossed Ford script at the top!
One of the old 8N for grills would look sweet, I will have to look for one myself good idea.
