Well I picked up my Excursion today after a week long install & all I can say is this system is freakin incredible!
The Eclipse AVN5495 Navigation/DVD system along with the Eclipse back up camera, PAC steering wheel control interface & K40 front & rear radar detector were installed last month. Now the system includes the following:
Dynaudio 240 MKII 7" component speakers in the front w/ the tweeters molded into the A-pillar
JL Audio XR650 CSi component speakers in the 2nd row
JL Audio XR650 CXi speakers in the 3rd row
JL Audio Stelathbox w/ 10w3 sub in the center console
Jl Audio 450/4 amp powering the XR650 CSi's & Stealthbox
JL Audio 300/2 amp powering the Dyn's
JL Audio Remote Sub Control
JL Audio Amp Kits
Vampire Wire Interconects
Canare Speaker Wire
110 sq ft of Dynamat Extreme
& a Clifford G5 Alarm to keep it all in my truck.
I'm amazed at how well the imaging is with the Dyn tweeters molded into the a-pillars; these are some awesome speakers. And the Stelthbox hits much harder than I thought it would, I had turn the gains all the way down on the sub amp. This sytem gets louder than you can stand with no distortion; just clean, crisp music. I still have some tweaking to do with the EQ but it's pretty close. I had some nice systems in the past but this is one of the best sounding sytems I've ever heard.
I'm deffinetely going to get some use out of the 3000 song Music Juke in the AVN5495.

Holy crap! What in the hell? Are you made of $$$$? Did you take a peek in my sound system dream? Sound like your in audio heaven. What was the $ damage if you don't mind me asking? Do you have any pic? I am sold on JL Audio but I'm still saving, my kids seem to keep dipping into my kitty. All thing considered you have impressed the hell out me. Can you say ENVIOUS?
Well after a full day of listening to the system I'm pretty darn impressed. Cd's that are recorded well sound incredible, ones that aren't, like burned online at low bit rates sound like crap compared to the higher bit rate recordings. With the factory head unit & speakers I couldn't really tell a difference, with the new head unit & factory speakers I could tell a difference but not that much, now it's a night & day difference. And listening to the radio sounds horrible compared to listening to a CD, you have to listen to a couple of songs to get use to the difference.
I also learned today after auditioning the system for everyone that after 5 minutes with the windows rolled up at 3/4 volume when you get out of the truck you can feel the difference in pressure in your head.
I'll try to get some pictures up when everything is done, I still have to get the lid for the amp rack finished.
The system cost a couple dollars but still less than the new living room set the wife just made me buy.

The living room set is just a couch, 2 reclining chairs & 3 tables. For as much as she spent you would think it would be more, but she had the chairs & couch made at some place where you design your own furniture then pick out what material you want it done in. She wanted to get a new entertainment center but I had to draw the line somewhere. It took me forever to find one that would hold all the home theater equipment & it even has a compartment for the 500w, 15" sub.
