63 F-100
i own a 63 f-100 stepside, custom cab etc, it is a 2 wheel drive with a 223 straight six and 3 on the floor, The Truck is being disasembled for a winter restoration. i am thinking about making the truck a 4x4, truck frames will fit, what would i need for this.
i also could use a set of doors, and a hood, if you have any of these for sale in the Ohio area
i have pictures of the truck which ill add soon

Doors come up for sale from time to time. Hoods are very difficult to come up with. I've got 3 plus the one on my truck, and they all have issues.
Unless you plan on really USING the 4x4 I wouldn't bother...much rougher ride, poorer gas mileage, and won't increase the value of the truck any (for some reason, 4x4 classic trucks just don't generate much interest).

mine is extremely bad, it has holes from something burning through the top, and the whole front edge is rusted.
im going to a junkyard, owner has 10+ 61-66 f-100's
should be able to find a hood.
i am using this truck in the country out in a valley, it will defiantly be used as a 4x4, or would it be cheaper just to buy another f-100 that has 4x4, im not looking for it to be mit , just rust free

I dis agree that a pre 66 F100 is easier to swap over to a later frame in a four wheel application.
the frame rails for a 63 in two wheel drive are virtually identical to the four wheel drive truck. Remember that prior to 59 all ford 4x4s were out sourced to Marmon Herrington. IE converted 2 wheel drives, and even after 59 the kits were still avalible to convert trucks untill the 66 F100 which started the coil spring type suspension.
All that is needed to convert is the correct width and rotation front straight axle of 59 to 65 vintage, the intermediate propeller shaft. remote transfer case and 2 drive shafts...
I would assume he allready has the short ford light duty three speed unit with bolt on type output with it being a short bed unit.
I have the parts gathered to do this conversion on a 62 F250 Uni with a 300 six and TOD overdrive transmission.
