gas tanks!

heres a question. dual tanks on the 150. front one leaks. broke somethin loose, and it leaks at the strap. i thought about taking the front tank out all together, but was curious about electrical issues with the pump and all that jazz. anyone ever try this? any thoughts?

I have no rear tank. Just disconnected and sealed the fuel lines. Then never use the selector switch.
My front tank started leaking after I broke it on a rock ledge. Only $200 for a new one installed.
