The rubber hose that comes off the back of the compressor split open and all the freon leaked out rather quickly. I replaced the line and I am going to recharge the system but, I don't know how much if any pag I should put back in the system. If I need to add any pag do I put it directly into the compressor before I charge the system? or should I use the 134A that already has the pag in it?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Can you "guesstimate" by looking at the leak area about how much oil was lost? I would add a 1/2 ounce to maybe an ounce and no more since probably all that you lost was just the oil in the line. Probably could get away with not adding any but just to be safe. Add it in at the low pressure fitting by using a can of R-134 with oil as your first charge.
