Was anyone aware that ford was adding a Ceramic coolant additive to help combat the head gasket problem from the factory?
I was thinking of adding a coolant filter, but I’m having problems with Combustion gassing in my coolant and getting ford to admit that I have a problem and it is stock
Irontite actually makes a ceramic block sealer as well.. They make two types of block sealer, one that can be added to the anti freeze, and the ceramic type that is added to a 'clean' flushed system/no anti freeze and run at temp then drained after its pushed under pressure into any trouble areas.. I does work pretty well, but I think I would 'have issue' with anyone putting any sealer or bandAid on a engine with very few miles or even almost new.. ANY BRAND..
since im in the middle of charging my debit card on accessories for my truck and my dirt bike..... would you mind showing me which of the 4 different evans coolant gallons to get for my truck? maybe this stuff will last me a little longer then what I buy at my local autopart store.
Yep NPG+
Drop all the fluids. Passenger side block drain requires removal of the starter(3bolts) and is no problem. Refill with 5 gals......where Ford came up with figures I don't know but 5 will do the job. I orderd 2 cases for a price break.
I have used Evans in racing for years. This is my first diesel using NPG+ so what is Grampy's reasoning? Long haul trucks and heavy equipment use it, air cavitation is a killer in diesels where NPG+ stops this from happening. It meets and exceeds all manufacturer specs...
