I want to lift my f-350 but I use it to trailer my car around, I want a least a 6in lift but I have been told not to go over 4in, unless I want a really bad ride. What do you guys think? or know. I dont trailer any thing over 4500lbs.
Better to ask than to regret later. Fuel mileage will probably go down as well. Lifts aren't real cheap, and cost you more later. I wouldn't do it, but thats just my 2 cents.
what about a leveling kit and 33" tires, had this set up on my gasser and loved it. i planned to do the same with the diesel. with the bilistein shocks that are adjustable, seem to ride like a 1/2 ton.
i have a leveling kit, i plan on 33'' tires soon. it isnt really a "lift", the tire size increases ride height by 3/4". stock size is 31.5''. im going with toyo Open country, undecided between AT and MT. AT's are quieter, MT's look cooler and are better off road. on 18'' wheel. if you go to anything above 33'', you should re-gear to regain lost torque, and get your speedometer closer.
I have a 10 inch lift with 38's, of course the ride is going to be worse if you go with a cheap lift, but i have rode in many 6 inch lift superdutys that i think rode almost better than stock, and for towing you can make it pull just as easy if not eaiser than it does now. But you have to realize that it will cost money, good 6 inch lift will set you back 1500, then u have tires and wheels which can run from a decent price range to outrageous, i personaly spent 330 per tire and 190 per wheel. You may want to re gear to help it out a little bit, that can run well over 1000, but im still running 3.73's on my truck and i pull a 4 place snowmobile trailer loaded, also a sled in the back of my truck thats about 4000 lbs. And it does great, the motor is stock, and i am planning on chiping it soon. So it is possible, it just will coast money. so do what you want, but man do Super dutys look sweet lifted, you can check mine out in my galleries, late

I have a leveling kit on it all ready, and want to put a 6in or 8in lift on it so I can put ladder bars on it, I plan on buying the best, I will not put cheap junk on my truck. I think I'll probably be going with the 6in, I wont be trailering to much, and when I do I will deal with the ride.
I have a 4" lift and do alot of heavy pullling with it. It will squat down and still pull but I would suguest getting a air ride suspension to help with the sag. I have 35's and have no problem with ride or with fuel miliage, but cooler look does equal more $$.
hey
i have a 99 with an 8inch superlift and 38tsl radials
i pull my superlate model race car to the track every weekend and have had no problems i do want to re gear though

i took a 6 inch kit off of my truck and removed a set of 35's.....i gained 100miles to the tank, better ride, cheaper tires, the truck could be aligned now, tired could be balanced properly, easier on the driveline, and i can tow properly now as well. not to mention i can use my gooseneck now

getting really expensive. im 20years old so i cant really go anywhere with it now
too old dont that suck
what do you run???
i dont run anything now. but i helped musgrave jr out for a while. we ran at brimingham, wont ever go there again. tracks a death trap. mainly ran at concord. we used to work for the 10 car a while back, bounced around to a few other cup shops as a fabricator and quickly found out i didnt like the bigtime. so i went back to hooters cup and late models. but it still was more of the same and i didnt see much of a future in it for me. i wanted to have some free time to do other things and it just wasn't hapening. i have built more caars than i could count.
