Chevy valves in I6 head

Chevy valves in I6 head
I know I read something about putting Chevy valves into a 300 head somewhere here before. Is it a certain chevy motor or size valve that has to be used and do you have to use the chevy springs and rockers also? Do you have to do a lot of head work also to make it work properly? I have a 1977 300 six that I'll be rebuilding within the next year and I'm just weighing my options. I just want to have a basic stock motor with a 390 carb and 4 barrel intake with headers and mild cam. Good low end torque and reliability.
