OK, I've got myself in a bind here. My "little spring" broke on the drivers side door so I ordered a new latch for the door. I sat down last night to start working on it and found that it was quite a bit more challenging than my stupid manual claims.
I've got everything out except for the latch mechanism. It is still attached to the lock solenoid and I just can't see a way to get them disconnected in there! Does anyone have any experience doing this? I would also be interested for any tips on getting the new one back in to the door...
Ok...I got the old one out and I put the new one in so at least the door latches closed now. I could still use some pointers on getting the new one installed...
