I dunno if its because it came out of a 69 bird, but my c6 that came with my 429 is a heavy monster. Id guess its well over 200 by itself. It was an arm load for 2 of us. Its heavier then any TH400 I ever seen. Its alloy case, not iron, so you got me.

Somebody posted last year asking this because they were shipping one .
The complete engine was about 485lb.
I suspect a complete tranny would be about 90 lbs.

Holy Buckets! That must've been one of those lead-filled trannies.
I lifted mine onto the bed of the truck by myself so mine can't weigh more than 100 lbs.. It was out of a 74 lincoln.
I'd also guess the motor to be over 500 lbs. if all the stuff is still on it.
