Good deal ?
I found a 1979 F250 4X4 Dually with a flat bed and tool boxes. It has a 460 ci v8 with im geussing an automatic transmission. The body is said to be in fair condition. Thay say that it needs some carb work. it runs when gas is poured into but then dies. it also needs rear brake work. Supposedly on drum is rusted fast but i was told that if i took the dually rim off that i could heat it up and get it free..... They are asking $600 but i think i might be able to get it a little cheaper. The odometer doesn't work so i dont know the milage. Im going to go look at it tomorrow so what are some things that i should look for? Any hints on what to look for or opinions on if its a deal or not would be aprreciated... thanks

i do want this truck real bad... i have a landscaping service and it would be a great work truck and i have always wanted a 78 79 style truck. i go to look at it tomorrow and i would really like some things that i should look for. if by chance i dont buy it i will get back with you on everything i know about it and the location.

at that price and even if you have to put a $1000 into it it could still be a good deal, sounds like an electrical part or two and some brake work, If you are handy with the tools and have a good info site to get info from ,like this one , I think youll be happy . I live in alaska , ohio would be a bit of a streach for me, my point was that it sounded like a good deal ,bob
