Ignition Troubles
I have a 75 F 100 with a 360 2 barrel.
The truck will start cold and run fine but when you shut it down and let sit a few minutes it will not start back up.
I have checked and it is not getting any fire.
If you let it sit about 20-30 minutes it will start back up.
I have replaced the ingnition control module (Twice), the rotor button, distrbutor cap, plugs, wires, coil,and condensor.
I have not replaced the Stator yet but that is next on my list.
Any ideas?
I am going nuts over this one.

The pickup coil is a common problem, you schould have a reading of around 80 ohms between the orange and purple wires comming from the distributor, also there schould be no reading from these wires to ground if not the coil is bad.

Check the solenoid, it should give you 6-8 volts when running and 12+ when starting. This is at the coil. I had one that would give out 1 volt when trying to run, it also was bleeding juice through to the starter all the time.
