washed engine wont run help

My dad washed the motor on 97 4.6L this week and now it barely runs. We changed plug wires and cleaned the sensors, what else could be the culprate. Coil pack?? or water in the computer. The truck idles really low and once you put it in gear it has no power and can barely move under its own power, also its smells really rich like a cylinder is filling with gas but and not getting any spark?? any suggestions.

thanks

One thing I would suggest is pull the plug wires one at a time. Blow out the plug hole and make absolutely sure you have no water down there. That would be grounding out the spark. After that, I'd be leaning towards a coil pak since you've replaced the wires.

tape a piece of garden hose to a shop vac. Pull the plug boots/wires off the plugs and use the garden hose to vacuum down around the plugs (make sure it's dry). Change the plugs. Should run better after that.
