IMO go with the Suncoast IN ADDITION to tuning. Both ATS and Suncoast will strongly recommend you use some form of tuning for the transmission in conjunction with their units for maximum reliability- ATS uses their "Co-Pilot" control unit, and Suncoast uses Superchips Custom Tuning.
So far my experience with suncoast has exceeded my expectations, does not go past 200* on my tranny temp gauge even while towing a 4k pound boat in 100+ degree weather going pretty darn fast up grades, shifts beautifully and doesnt seem to mind my 40" tires and my edge/juice/attitude(level 5 most responsive 247) with or without the stack tune. and a 23 year old heavy foot.
Industrial dude did you just buy the Suncoast kit and have someone locally do the Trans. When/Where/How etc.????
Tim
Yes I had Wally from Transmagic from Newhall California install the converter and the after market clutches. Wally use to work for Ford doing Trannys and opened up his own shop. Everybody in Town knows he's the best around, and the best part he only charges $550.00 for labor haha you cant beat that, the dealer wanted 2grand labor alone screw them. If your interested in his number let me know he knows the 5r110 pretty darn good, you dont find many shops that could work on the 5r110.

yo industrial. what all did you spend on the trans? do you think it would be better to get a complete tranny or replace the guts of it?

well my tranny was smoked so bad they had to replace everything inside.... solenoids oil pump, etc, etc basically it was a whole new tranny when I got it back except the shell, total amount I spent including labor and the suncoast stuff $5,400
depends on how bad your tranny is I guess. I think you could buy a new tranny for less then 5 grand but thats stock.
you have a pretty cool site, pretty sick tricks you could do on your bike. Is that black one a CBR? also i like that Betrayed clothing logo.
thaNKS dude.
yea its actually all the same bike, used to be custom painted with race fairings , then i screwed up the tank so i got a new tank and primed it , now i took off the upper fairings to learn some new technical tricks like highchair circle wheelies n stuff . its a good lil bike. its a 02 f4i with a 929 front end.
betrayed has some cool stuff, my buddy owns it , he just became a cop so doesnt have to much free time to update his site heh you got pics of your X online?
