i may be going to go with a tilt frt end on my 49. the question's i have for one, i have seen them at the nat that leave the lower back part on the cab and the rest of lower rear fender meet's with it when it is lower'd down. i have a tilt on my part's truck but it don't do this. anybody run a tilt on there 48 to 50 on here like this.i have seen some in cat that have a small piece on frt of running board.that meet's lower rear fender when lower'd down. maybe someone might have a pic or two. thanks.
I've got a tilt front end on my 48. Mine is fiberglass and all one piece. It uses the extensions attached to the running boards to locate the lower fenders. Can send you pics if you want a close up of this area. Let me warn you though, fiberglass front ends are not in my opinion a bolt on replacement. They need alot of work to make them fit correctly.
the tilt i have is some off brand repro of a tilt.the workmanship is very poor.by the time i buy good patch panel's and lower fender extension i will have almost 500 in that part alone. just looking at other ways.have seen other tilt's at show's that are very good looking and sold that way. will keep looking at this but have plenty of time for that. just got frt fender's off today.cab is next then do power brake's and disc convershion. with frame and engine detailing.thanks
check out my gallery. i put together a homeade one that slides forward 3 or 4 inches and then rotates up and over. i have linear actuators on it so it goes slow and smooth. its not quite finished but i think its gonna work real nice.
