question: what was the year that ford offered factory air conditioning on the f250 4x4? & can anybody tell me who makes a set of headers for my 1976 f250 4x4 it has a 429 c.u. motor with a C6 tranny ?
cr3166,
For headers check the following:
www.hedman.com #85650 & #85651
www.landlproducts.com #79750B
www.stans-headers.com #246Y
Can't help you with the A/C question though.
John.
I am pretty sure factory ac is called integral. Dealer installed ac has the same location of vents but has the little contol ***** right below the middle vent registers. The under dash ac systems are after market products.
I have owned 78 and 79's with factory air. I think I have seen factory air all the way back to 76. I really only know the 78 & 79 thought (I like 78's better - with square headlights though).
On the headers, I LOVE the L&L headers. Don't count on an easy fit no matter who's headers you buy though. They all require time with a sawzall and/or gas axe (oxy acetelene) to get them to fit..... This is said having installed 3 sets on 78/79's. 2 L&L and one Hooker.
