Dash Removal 38

I'm not an expert on this, but I think the dash is welded in at the factory. At least thats what I was told when I had my 39 same cab.

You mean the gauges or actual dash panel? The gauge panel is held in the back with some bolts...look behind, should be fairly easy to remove. The actual dash is part of the cab, no removing it w/o a torch, a saw, or some other cutting device.

Wow!!
Glad I asked, kinda surprising but it makes sense. Makes painting it harder but then the fitting won't be screwed up.
Tks guys~JH

Dash Removal

Jon Henry, I don't know how far you are with the next step to painting the dash. Once you have the instruments out, along with switches etc, a small blast gun will do the trick as far a cleaning up some problem areas.
These have a rubber cup around the base and only blast where the cup sits. This way you don't have your cab filled with Glass, or Sand.
Just a thought for what its worth to you.
