351M summit headers

Has anyone tried the headers that summit sells for a 77-79 F-150 4*4 with an 351M engine? How far back is the collector? I have a nice single 2.5 " system with manifolds and a turbo muffler that I would like to keep and am wondering how hard it is going to be to plumb this system into the headers. Thanks for any advice.

351M summit headers

highcountry, I put these headers on my truck a few months ago and I would not recommend because of where the collectors are. I've been running the open headers since then because I dont want to route the exhaust around the the transfer case x-member. I plan on switching them out to fenderwell exit headers soon.

351M summit headers

wow, that far back. Is there no way to cross under the transmission? or would the bend be too sharp? And does anyone know of a header that has a more reasonable fit? I really hate manifolds but I also dont want to run the exaust under a frame rail or cross member. It is sure to get crushed at the most inoportune time. thanks again.
