I am calling again for assistance. I have an automatic b2 that does not shift into gear consistantly. It may be a shifter problem, I don't know.
The truck was converted over to a floor shifter and it seems real sloppy. Sometimes, it will not go into reverse, just forward. Last night, my son tells me that it would not go into ANY gear and when he put it back into park, the truck started to roll down the hill. I got in it this morning and it drove fine. Could I be missing something? Any advice is appreciated.
I'm not big on tranny work but most of the problems I've seen caused by the modulator are shifting, not engagement. I'm thinking you have low pressure or a leaking valve body if the fluid condition and level are OK. I bet it also goes into gear better once it warms up.
