judging by your signature and assuming you have a manual tranny... your next mod should be the WICKED WHEEL...!

Johnny ,it is amazing the power these trucks have, Mine is automatic so maybe the trans shift kit first then the wicked wheel ???? Scott, I have been keeping an eye on the gauges and so far I have not seen above 1100 pre turbo but then again I have not driven to work on the turnpike yet !!!

I spent a good bit of time cleaning the contacts for the chip using brake cleaner ,alcohol and a scotch brite pad, but my first attempt the truck would not start ...took the computer back out and cleaned it again with nail polish remover and the truck did start that time !!! Maybe the nail polish remover may be the way to go for any one attemting installing a new chip ??????

I sure had fun driving the truck around today and now I know what you all mean about not being able to keep your foot off the go pedal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW

Another Good Way To Clean All The Silicone From The Contacts Is With Acitone. When I Was Cleaning My Contacts Up I Also Used A Very Fine Steel Wool To " Shine " The Contacts A Bit. I Understand That Cleaning The Contacts Are Very Important To Insure A Good Connection When Plugging In The Chip.

I Love My Chip....... Used To Run A Superchips Micro Tuner And I Always I Thought I Had Alot Of Extra Power ( I Did Have Some ) But After Installing My 6 Pos Chip , I Now Realise That The Tuner I Had Was No Comparison To The Chip. I Smile Every Time I Push Down The Pedal To Pass Another Car When On The Highway. You Don't Need To Floor It Either.
Heck..... I Smile Every Time I Push Down On The Pedal Period .

i have yet to floor my truck since i have had the edge system in my truck. its either not enough room to do it, or i just cant bring myself to risk snapping the back of my leather seat off!

i would ABSOLUTELY recomend the the sonnax kit first... it will help your tranny put all that new power on the ground..! the wicked wheel is an upgrade that really helps when you are pulling heavy loads.. especially up hills... but if you are running empty it isn't critical to do this mod... you will love it once you get it in though... as for not being able to keep your foot out of the pedal... i'm sorry to say that never goes away..! just answer me this... would you ever own a gas powered truck again...?

i never thought i would have a truck with a motor that could make 700 foot pounds of torque... and now that i do, and i know what that kind of torque allows you to do... i'll never own a truck without a diesel again...!

Johnny ,I would never buy a gas truck again !!!!!!!!!!!! Just need to sell my 97 f250 hd 460 gas hog @8 mpg .Seems like no one else wants it either with the price of fuel these days ! I have had my diesel about 7 months now and appreciate it more everyday especially when a new mod is added !! I have not driven the gas hog once since the day I got the diesel !! I met my new girlfriend about two months ago and whenever I take her and her two hot friends anywhere they always want me to drive the BIG FORD DIESEL !! They even got a kick out of the Black Smoke !!!
