another hard starter Q
I have searched, but was unable to find an answer to my problem.
'97 F250, 69,000mi, auto. Just replaced cps, and egts. Problem is hard starting about 5 pm. Temp probably 50 degrees. In the mornings I have no problem starting because I plug in. But when I get off work, I have to cycle the glow plugs about four times to know it will fire right up. It never fires on the first try. This is only in the afternoon. What's funny is that last week I went elk hunting, and the truck sat for 9 days, unplugged. When I arrived back, it fired right up on the first try. (btw, I didn't get anything!)
I'm puzzled. This happened last year too.
