carb help

I just bought a holley carb it is 80457-2 600cfm what do i need to bolt this on my 1973 f100 with a 390 auto transmission.

as long as you got a four barrel intake it should be a bolt and go deal.... just hook everything back up the same, kickdown i'm not sure of as i run manuals...

I think everything comes with the holley to hook up the Automatic. Should tell ya in the info that came with the carb.

yeah I bought it at a swap meet today. So i don't have any info

lots of holleys don't have the ford kickdwon rod, also the carb should be rebuilt prior to use.

It was bought by a guy in august but was only used for a couple of weeks he said. He claimed it was too small for his application

well being that it was used a rebuild is a good idea. you have no clue what is in there. also the gaskets shrink and leak once the fuel is gone for long periods of time. you will need to jet and install a PV to suit your application.is it vac secondarie or mechanical?

they're not too difficult to rebuild... to get the right power valve you need a vacuum guage, run the truck at idle with the tranny in gear and the brakes on. divided the vacuum reading by 2 and then add .5..... thats the size of power valve you need...
