Are you saying the one from the drivers door will work in the tailgate? if so cool!!
I use the motor out of a old 80's model Ford stationwagon, small LTD or Fairmont in my 80 Bronco. It was the same as the Bronco motor. Fond that out from a parts crossover book at the local bone yard.
When you replace the motor... make sure that the ARMS are lubed up good... as well as the white bushings that go into the slots/tracks on the bottom of the window...
My '84 rear window got progressively slower... I was like what the heck.. turns out moisture set in on the ARMS and the surface rust buildup was causing friction... so some I took out the assembly - cleaned everything down... Zinc Chromated the ARMS - painted it with black Krylon and let it bake outside for 2 days... then I lubed it up and put it back in... much better now!
