transmission bubbles
I have a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT. When the truck sets over night the transmission shifts fine. After I drive it for several miles it gets a delayed shift between gears and sometimes I have to manually shift it just to get it to move. I checked the fluid level when it gets this warmup and the fluid has tiny bubbles that makes the level go way above the mark on the stick. What all can cause this? I'm thinking its the filter.

An overfilled tranny can cause the fluid to foam up. Try driving it for five minutes and checking the fluid. I know, it's not fully hot, but that's the intent here. Look at the fluid level to see if it's grossly overfilled. If so, remove the excess back down until it reads full/warm. Now drive again untill it's warmed up and correct the level.
