05 Expy Starting Problems
I am not sure if this has been address before. I have an 05 Expedition with 8000 mi. (I am a driving fool) Every once in a while it doesn't want to start. Has anyone else experience this?

I have an 05EB purchased new in March 05. After several thousand miles I began experiencing an intermittent starting problem. The motor would crank excessively before starting. I researched TSB's and found a couple of references to starting problems. After several weeks and hoping the problem would disappear, I took it to the dealer for warranty service. Upon hearing the words "starting problem" the service writer immediately said my fuel pump would have to be replaced. He did not look at the vehicle let alone try to start it. Based on his actions this is obviously a known problem. The fuel pump was replaced and the problem was solved. Currently at 18K miles. Be persistent and good luck!
