So my navi started misfiring on the way home from my daughter's field trip (98 with 107k on the clock). Great, another unexpected expense was of course my first thought. The check engine light began to blink right as we pulled in. After a quick trip to a local mechanic and a quote of $1300 to replace the ignition coils, plugs and wires, my question is -
How difficult a job is it to replace these parts myself? I am fairly apt at fixing things but I haven't worked on my truck as of yet. From what I could tell I would have to remove the fuel lines or rails that run over them. I currently live in an apartment complex with a few tools and have fond parts at autozone at just less then half of what they quoted me at the shop.
I guess I am just looking for a few pointers or insight.
